So hey, that premiere wasn’t too bad.

Regarding the whole Santana getting kicked out of glee, part of me isn’t that bothered because we know it’s not going to stick and in the meantime I’m hoping we can get some really interesting Santana development with her and Quinn on the fringes again. At the very least, it gives her a potential plot that has to do with SINGING in addition to the LGBT plot. (I say potential because if there’s anything Glee does well, it’s squander potential, so I remain wary until at least 6 eps into the season.)

However, the thing that bothered me the most-  more than people not speaking up for her (Hi, Kurt, remember who made it possible for you to come back?), more than her getting more severe punishment for a lesser crime (Hi, Rachel, you sent someone to a crackhouse), more than the fact that they just threw out one of their BEST singers when they are already down members (Good luck winning when you can’t even reach the qualification quota)-  is that the entire Sue vs Will thing is old, tired and plain old BORING. All it ever does is showcase bad teaching on both Sue and Will’s parts.

As a teacher, Will should have gone to the real heart of the problem- which is Sue putting Santana in that position and making her do something she shouldn’t have to do.
